Yeah, that video was my first ever race!

Oh that maggot comment made me laugh! “Maggots” is the name of a corner on the Silverstone racetrack. Most corners at big racetracks are given names!

“Locking up” refers to braking – these race cars are not allowed ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System). Locking up is when the wheels stop rotating (i.e. locking up) under braking – meaning you lose control and cannot slow down anywhere near as quickly! It’s not a pleasant sensation! If you brake really hard in a road car fitted with ABS (i.e. most modern cars), you might feel the brake pedal “judder” (especially in the wet) – that’s the ABS system kicking in, preventing the wheels locking up.

Sweet, Llandow is pretty cool won’t be able to pop along for that one but hopefully will be able to check the car out in proper action when im back from Kenya.
